Bio Óleos de Maxixe (BOM) is a young, environmentally-focused business initiative committed to creating partnerships with communities in rural Mozambique to sustainably harvest local oilseeds, extract natural oils and manufacture a unique line of organic value-added products, while incentivizing the preservation of native forests. BOM seeks to promote community investment in the environment, secure income for vulnerable populations, utilize lesser-known native oils, and promote high-quality, environmentally-conscious and locally-made products as alternatives to imported goods.
